Our Story

A Swedish Vision in Stone

Stone & Game was born from a simple idea — that the objects we play with, and live with, deserve the same care as the spaces we build our lives around.

Designed in Sweden and crafted from natural marble and onyx, every piece is shaped with intention. We believe a chess set should be more than a place to play. It should be something you reach for, return to, and pass on.

Material First

Marble and onyx are timeless materials, valued for their natural character, depth and variation.

We carefully select stones for their individual colours, patterns and veining. No two pieces are exactly alike. Each board carries its own character, shaped by the natural stone from which it was made.

We don't see these variations as imperfections. They are part of what makes natural stone special.

Scandinavian by Design

Our roots are Swedish. That means restraint, clean lines, and a respect for materials over decoration.

We design pieces meant to feel at home in a Stockholm apartment, a country house, or a quiet study anywhere in the world.

We're not interested in following trends. We're interested in creating objects that still feel right years from now.

A Slow Process

Our pieces are produced in small batches and crafted with care. Boards and game pieces are hand-carved, polished and individually inspected before they leave us.

This takes time. We think that's the point.

In a world of mass-produced objects, we believe there is something meaningful about owning a piece made from natural stone, where every surface, vein and variation is unique.
